Where's Labour?

Short blogpost today.  And it's asking "Where's Labour?".

So, we're going to "invite" people to say what cuts they'd most like.  Cameron et al are openly talking about a smaller state and opportunities for the private sector.  Gove is quite relaxed about the better (and more exclusive) schools being the first to get academy status with all the elitism that suggests.  Cable is now little more than a eunuch.  Clegg is off on his great mission of democratic reform far away from the real economic action.  Even if he succeeds, it's small beer compared to the impact of cuts.  And the Tories' mates - business men and bankers to a tee - say "bring it on".  They're not going to suffer.  Many will prosper.  The coalition is either funding them directly or clearing a large space for them to operate.

Labour may have lost.  Some regrouping may be necessary.  But if the candidates for the leadership really want members' votes, they'd better step up to the plate.

So, we end where we started.  "Where's Labour?".
